Humble Pie Challenge

I got to play tonight,there's a few challenges I wanted to make and with another easel card,I will be playing the
HUMBLE PIE CHALLENGE. The challenge is to make an easel card,we all love these cards,i've seen them in all sizes,this one is a 5"x5". I didn't add a sentiment cause I don't know who I will give it to and when so no sentiment for now.

I used Little Mimosa,an image I rec'd in WR,I just had to use her right away. She's so sweet! And the colors,well I can't wait for spring to get here,so bright yellow and lilac it was. The butterfly is a punch from MS and so is the border punch I've used for the inside of the card which I also attached a lilac ribbon. And one of my fav embellies...pearls.

WOJ challenge

Good day my friends!

Today's card is for the WOJ challenge .
I made an easel card,just love them and this week's challenge is another great sketch so why not play right!

A proud moment at Tops!

Here we are,3 members that became KOPS,which means,Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly,for those who are wondering what it is.

From right to left is my cousing Judy,my aunt Janine and myself. We had graduating caps


They presented me these beautiful yellow roses and a sash,and also gave me a beautiful picture frame with butterflies!

Here I am with my flowers,velour cape and Chapter Queen Crown.Such a proud moment! Now to keep my goal will be tough but now i am to be an example to my fellow peeps!

I hope to be able to play today,but have had a headache since 5 am.

Two quick B'day cards

Gee i hate that when I wait at the last minute to do stuff. I think alot of us are like that,so I don't feel that bad.
I needed 2 B'day cards for my fellow Tops pals for tonight which I didn't have appropriate ones made cause they are for elderly ladies and I don't think they would like girly stuff.
Anyways,so on this 1st card I used the SU folder which I adore and used the same sentiment as the next card.I added some leftover ribbon,sponged the edges in pink and added some pink pearls and the white and pink flowers is from the dollar store that came with the butterfly. I thought it was cute.


This 2nd card is another quickie. I used a CB folder,added the MS border punch with some ribbon from Michael's and tried my new Butterfly Shapebilities and the sentiment is from SU Well Scripted.

So these we're quick and easy to make and i'm sure they will like them.

I'm bringing my camera to TOPS tonight, we are having a celebration of the members that became KOPS in 2009. Which is my aunt,my cousin and MYSELF!!!! So they asked us to wear a dress in pastel colors and that there will be a little celebration. Can't wait to see what it's all about. So I'm going to try to do something with my hair and face,lol! Good Luck to me!!!

WOJ challenge

Today's card if for the Whiff Of Joy Challenge.

Swirls and Pearls was the challenge and of course the use of a WOJ image. I used Liz,and used a swirl from a Wedding cricut cartridge and added some pearls on the left of the card and on the sentiment which is also from WOJ. I added some Cotton Candy glitter from MS and the swirl paper is from I don't know where.

I really like how it turned out,hope you will too.

Humble Pie Challenge

This card is for the HUMBLE PIE Challenge. Which was to use one embellishment ONLY! That wasn't easy!
So I went with Tilda skiing. Been watching the olympics and thought this would be the perfect time to use this image!
For my one embellishment,I used the MS snowflake punch which I punched in white red and blue and popped them up.

EONA Challenge and An Owl for Delia

This cute owl card is for a Great Cause and a Challenge!

I was visiting Chris' blog and came across Dustin Pike's blog
which he had a special request for a 10 year old that has leukemia. Delia loves Owls & Photography...so read the story on Dustin's blog,Card Makers are wonderful people and we can all brighten up this little girl's day!

Pizza box Just for You

Last night I was blog surfing and after visiting one of my favorite new blogs Humble Pie, I decided to make a Pizza Box which Phebe had posted on the mbHule Pie blog.

I also made a set of 3x3 little notes to make a little gift set to give to someone one day. I always wanted to make a little something to have for a last minute gift but never took the time to make it. So now I have one.

This is the pizza box I made to put the notes in.

Way to go!!!!

I was able to play 2 challenges with this card.

The first was Humble Pie which was to use Nesties,
and 2nd was Challenge #66 at Whiff Of Joy.

So I colored Charlotte on label 4 and matted it on the Rich Razleberry from SU and the papers are also all SU (left over scraps). I added some primas
in both corners and that's my card.

Treat holder

Hi there,this will be a really quick post for today.

I didn't do any cards in the past few days,but I did go to a SU stamp night on wed night. There's a friend of mine that started selling SU,so I will be attending some classes when I am able to.

So we made a couple of Valentine cards,but I don't really like them,so I'm not going to show them. But we made this cute little treat bag holder thingy and put a couple of choc. in it.
So I must get more choc cause DH will think I'm pretty cheap,lol!

Watched the Olympic opening Ceremonies last night,which I really enjoyed...GO CANADA!!!!

Simon Says Challenge-LOVE

Here is a card for the Simon Says Challenge. With Valentine just around the corner,I am sure there will be lots of entries for this challenge. All you have to do is make a card or project with LOVE in mind. That's pretty easy isn't it!

This will be a card for my DH,not for Valentine cause I've already made him one. It'll be a just because I love him.
He is always there for me,always encouraging me through my darkest days and believe me,there are alot of those lately. The paper and colors are dark because I thought they look more male colors. I added some Mint Ice stickles all over and the senitment is from SU-Well scripted.

Spots and Stripes

Today's card is for our Godson Gavin which will be turning 8 in March. He's a real daredevil so I thought I would use Ian surfing. This is something I would see Gavin doing,he's not scared of anything,but yet,which little boy is!

I also made it with the KABOODLE DOODLES challenge in mind. It is challenge #24,SPOTS AND STRIPES.
I think it fits the criterias.

I used my CB embossing folder to make the effect of waves.
My Cricket for the # 8 and the sentiment ? and some orange brads.

Yet another challenge

I went to visit Janet and she had a great sketch challenge that I wanted to try.
There's a whole lot of layers now that I look at it.

Can you tell I love butterflies? This is a dragonfly
but I loved the color of it,so I added on instead of stamping one.

I bought a package of K&Company die-cut and acetate of butterflies and birds,they are really nice,so you might see them here and there.

Well it's tuesday already and a week has gone by in February already!!! Gee whiz,time flies by!!!

So like the quote on my card says "SPREAD YOUR LOVE EVERYWHERE YOUY GO".

A GEM OF A CHALLENGE!

Here's my card for the First Challenge at Pink Gem Design! The stamp is Mimi Skating from last year,I think Mimi is so adorable in any stamp they have!

I've used SU paper on ruby red cs. Also colored her coat in ruby red with pink acc. and added some MS Cotton Candy sprinkles on the fur part of her coat,hat & mitts & skates. It looks so much better IRL! Then I added some Glossy Accent on her skates to make them look shiny and new.
Added 3 MS snowflakes in pink with a pink bling!

Ta-Da,here is my 1st PGD challenge card !!

I admire your drive

Here are 2 cards for my dear Tops pals. I need one every week as I like to encourage the best loser of the week. I used the same image for both cards and the same dp scraps,diff ribbon.

I am preposting this cause I have to do laundry,call my dr for an appt. and try to go for a walk.

I am really having a hard time trying to shake off a pound lately. My clothes is so tight,actually I'm putting on pounds and am not happy about it at all. I think my liver is acting up and is bloating up,hopefully I won't bust,lol.
But seriously,if I can find some energy to go for a short walk maybe it'll help.

For this 2nd card.Same papers,diff sketch,just flipped it around and did pretty much the same, I still love it! And I'm sure they will too!

Angel Maggie

Isn't this the cutest image???? I won the digi image from Humble Pie Challenge blog last week,her name is ANGEL MAGGIE !!!
And not only that,when you entered your card in last week's challenge which was to use at least 5 flowers you also had a chance to win a rubber stamp...AND I WON!

I've been really blessed with winning blog candy lately.

Anyways,everyone that entered the challenge last week got this lovely digi image (which was a wonderful surprise).

It took me a while to make a card cause I hadnt used my printer in so long that the ink was all dried up. So DH went out last night and got me a new cartridge so I was able to print this beauty out and make a card for this week's challenge which is Valentine Theme.

Butterflies...

Another card from my new stamps from SU.

This one is Flight of the butterfly which I inked in green. The pic doesn't do it justice,the ribbon is like a rainbow,there's pink,green and purple in it.
It's absolutely gorgeous. I also used CB folder for the card itself and added a MS punched butterfly with polka dots in gold stickles.

This color and butterflies have a great meaning to me. Of course it is the meaning of new life and the green is the tx's color. So if you see lots of these cards that is the reason why!

Well,today is my 48th Birthday! I've asked for one thing...you all know what it is right. So maybe it will happen,if not,there's always another day! My DH got me a nice jogging suit,no no,I'm not a jogger,lol. I've been buying a few cause it will be comfortable for when I do get my tx and I'd like to have a few diff ones. So he got the whole matching outfit,he's such a sweetie and I ain't going to change him for the world!!!

It's also Alex's Birthday,so you all know her,California Stampin,when you visit her today,don't forget to wish her a wonderful day!!!

EONA Challenge

This card was for the EONA challenge. I flipped the sketch around cause of my image. The stamp is an old High Hopes stamp which was one of my first purchase from them. The sentiment is a part of a High Hopes stamp which reads You're an Angel,but I just inked up the Angel part.

Beautiful New Toys

Happy Friday everyone!

Today's card is another simple and quick one. As I said yesterday,I had new toys to play with...so I've used The sentiment from Well Scripted SU set,and the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder also from SU. I also added some pink peals to the middle of the flowers and some white pearls.

The awful bow is a light pink polka dot ribbon. Gee I have a hard time to make a nice bow!!!

This will be for my Tops peeps!!!

Christmas cards?????

No I'm not crazy!!!!! Lol!

One of my goals each month is to make 5 xmas cards so I am not in a hurry to make them like i was last year.
Since I hadn't done the ones in January,I decided to make the same for both months. Last night,a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go play,so of course I took her up on her offer!

I had precut all my cs and ribbon so I got the 2 months done,yay!!!!

So I'm hoping to play tonight,as my SU order came in and I have a folder and 2 stamp sets to play with!!!

Can you believe tomorrow is friday!! I can't,time flies by even though I'm still waiting for THE CALL!!!! Thank goodness,cause if the days would be long,I'd go crazy,would drive my DH crazy,lol! He is too good to me,so I can't do that!

5 Minute card

Now this was a different card for me to make!

No embellies,no girly stuff,no ribbon,no layers except the one popped up star!

I needed a fast card,so I used a stamp set that a wonderful lady sent me (which she would like to be anonymous) .

It was for the Best Loser at my weight club. I had forgotten to make one and just before I left,when I was putting my gear in my bag. I thought,oh shoot,I don't have my card.
So this was what I came up with,she liked it and was happy with it!

I think,what I'll do is make a few in advance so then this won't happen again.

Well,it was a long night with hot flashes. Don't you just hate those nights!!! It's tough to be a woman isn't it!!!!

2 Posts in one day!

I just couldn't wait til tomorrow to post it which I was suppose to do. I made a few cards on Sunday thinking I'll have cards made up for a few days of posting. Well I love this one sooo much,just had to show you guys!

I've entered it in Humble Pie's Challenge for this week which was to have at least 5 flowers on your card. Easy Peasy For Me!!!

This card is for a fellow Tops member's b'day and her favorite color is purple,and she is always in awwww when I give her a card.
It's so nice when they appreciate the hard work you put into these cards isn't it!

had pre posted that one last night for today and couldn't wait to post the purple one.
So today is 2 for the price of 1,lol!

I used the Hearts CB folder for the card,added the black polka dot strip using the MS bp colored the Sweetheart in a red dress and then put the SU sentiment in black on red cs and I don't know how the rest of it all came together,don't know what I was trying to do there. But it turned out ok.

So I think this one will be for our 3 yr old niece.

Today is a slower day for me,I think the last couple of days creeped up on me. That's how it is,one or two good days...then 3 or 4 slow days. Tis life!!!!

Let it snow with MIMI!

Good monday morning my friends!

I made this Pink Gem card just because I love these stamps,they are actually 2 stamps. The one on the left is Mimi with Snowman and the one on the right is Funky Snowman. Again, I used some scraps which I am doing really good using some of them up. And I added some pearls for the snowflakes and the bigger pearls on the MS snowflake punch.

I didn't put a sentiment as I don't know what I will use it for yet.

Today,my plan is to sort out all my scraps by colors so I can really use them. I find it hard to go through my whole basked before I find matching scraps. So wish me luck with that,lol.
