I was given an award!!

And finally...I was given an award yesterday! My friend Lorie at Live Love Laugh has given me the Arte Y Pico award. The award is given to bloggers who share their art creations through blogging. Here are the rules...



1. You have to pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.


2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself

4. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

Recycled gum container

We keep this type of gum container in the vehicle which is really easy to open.And it has I think 60 or 70 gums in there,anyways,once finished,I looked at it and said I should decorate it...

So all I did was put stickers on it,the one in the middle says Your heart makes me flutter,added a scallop with a heart on the top and made a matching card with a scrap.

It'll be a perfect surprise for my hubby for a just cuz gift,I'll fill it up with gum or candy!!

It could also be used for sending a little gift to someone,for primas or other embellishments.

So from now on,I'll keep those and make some for my little God children,they'll love 'em!!

1. I've never had any children,not by choice.
2.I am on a waiting list for a liver transplant.
3.Had to quit work almost 3 yrs ago due to my health,which I miss very much.
4.I love to make cards and am very happy to have started my blog a couple of months ago.
5.I may not have any children,but have 8 God children,which I adore and love to spoil.
6.My favorite reality show is Biggest Loser,it motivates me on losing weight,I've lost 20 pounds in the last 5 months.
7.I enjoy the sun,life,and love my hubby!!!

My niece's cards

Hi everyone,

Here are 2 cards that my niece Tasha

made this weekend.She loves any kind of crafts and so she made a B'day card for her dad and a Mother's Day card for mom.

Here is a picture of her and I while she was making her cards. She chose all the colors and stamp she wanted to use and she colored that hedgie copying from the stamp,she did a really good job didn't she. We had fun,isn't she the cutest!!!

Fantastic Friday Challenge!

If you're up for a challenge,Korin at Inkydoodle has started a weekly Friday challenge. Today's challenge was to use an image with wings,weather it be a bird or a bug,as long as it had wings. So I chose the butterfly from Su Garden Whimsy,I used the CB for the pink bg,used a butterfly punch and used my cricket for the Thinking of you and the flower petal.

That's one heck of a mixed up card,lol. Hey that's what challenges are for right!

I was thinking of an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in a while.I'm sure she'll love the little creature,I used SU dp and a prima with a

button in the middle,embossed the sentiment in

black and cut it out.

I can't believe tomorrow is friday already!!

I've been organizing my stamp room,boy oh boy it was a mess! Today I'm labelling and hope to get some time to play tomorrow!!
