High Hopes 1st Challenge!!

High Hopes has a blog now,Hooray!!!!! Don't you love High Hopes stamps!!!! Well I do,I first saw them on Kraftin Kimmie's blog and have been in love with them every since!

So they are having a challenge,it's pretty easy too.All you have to do is a B'day card with 4 brads!

Now my card is really plain besides all the other people I've checked,but that's ok right. Everyone is different,we need different in this world,lol!

There's a mouse in the house!

While you read this post,I'll be gone to TOPS regional award meeting a couple hours away from home. This is a weight loss group that I'm in,every year they have these award meetings recognizing people with their weight loss in their weight categories. Not like I'm going to win anything,but it's nice to go support our peers!
So it will be a very long day for me,we leave at 6:30 AM and will be back by 6:00 PM.

Oh well,I'm sure it will be lots of fun!

Quick Thank You cards

I've been looking at this paper I've had for awhile now,it's not a designer paper or anything,
but I really like it. So I decided to make Thank you cards,they're all the same except I changed the sentiments' spot and I made 2 diff positions.
Added a ribbon and voila!!!

I like them,I'm always looking for Thank You cards,so now I have 4 on hand!

I must go make a baby shower card,for tomorrow,I thought I had one in my stash but I don't,so off to make a card i go!!!

Jingle all the way!!!

Another snowman card. I hope you like them as much as I do,cause you'll be seeing lots of them this Christmas season! I'm in awwww everytime I see new ones.
This one (the image) is from SCS Wish Rak,which I just joined. Been getting some pretty nice images!

I must say,this card is the FIRST one I can say I actually am proud of.
The dp is from SU,the punch is from Martha Stewart and the ribbon is from the dollar store.
Inside the card I added a white cs with the same punch at the bottom.

So what do you think of it???

Thursday was another beautiful day,sunny,perfect weather for walking,which i've started again.
Hopefully I'll keep it up this time.I'm trying to loose a few more pounds and it's so hard,you know what i mean,right ladies!! I gotta get in shape for this surgery!!!

Then to my card,I did a Lily and Tweet winter card. The sentiment is from a SU set,Very Merry,I CB the 2 BG layers and added some stickles to Lily's coat and used a Martha punch for the snowflakes. Not the greatest card,but it's ok!

GOOD LUCK TO ME!!!!

For those of you who know about my old liver needing a replacement,well,I got some pretty good news today!!!

I email my co-ordinator at the Transplant Hospital once in awhile,especially when I'm depressed,to see if I've gone up the list and where I stand. So today Sandy emailed me back saying that I was definitely going up the list but at the same time that there is always more critical people in need of a liver than me.
Which I understand,cause I'm not at the dying stage so to speak,but she did say that she figures it will be happening within the next 6 months!!!

Iwas jumping with joy!!! So I wanted to color this image last week,he has a four leaf clover,lol.
I am wishing myself luck,that's ok right??? We have planned a 2 week trip to Jamaica with my Brother and his wife in January. So I told my DH,everything is falling in it's place. We will go relax before all this happens,because I know it won't be easy on us,but I'm a tough cookie.
The only thing is,I will miss my family because where it's taking place is 12 hours away from home and I will have to stay there 4 to 6 weeks after the surgery.

But hey,we'll cross that bridge when we get there! For now,I'm happy,I see light at the end of the tunnel!!

Stampendous Snowman

It is getting chilly out there! I can't believe we will be getting the white stuff anytime soon!

Well,this little guy is from a Stampendous Set I bought last year,and the Snowflakes and Joy sentiment is from Inakadinkadoo,I heat embossed them and inside (which i didn't take a pic of) has a wreath which matches the joy sentiment. I paper pieced the hat and mitts in pink,pretty easy peazy!

I rec'd this image from a swap,(which I enjoy to participate in) I colored her with my SU markers,used my swiss CB folder,the dp is from SU and I also used one of my Fiskars punch and lastly I used a Pink Cat Studio sentiment.

It is saturday,I'll be at the camp stamping some images.
We have to start bringing stuff back from our camper,we will be closing our camp soon. It is getting a little too chilly,not as much fun when it's cold.

Funnel fold card

Well here's a first try for me at this or any folding card,after making the 1st one,I told my niece,please remind me not to make these kinds of cards again. But after the 3rd one,it was easier,they didn't turn out perfect,but not bad for a beginner!

They are for a local swap again,make 3 of the same,rec 3 diff ones in return. We had to make any kind of folding card. This sure was a challenge for me!!!

I like this set from Inkadinkadoo,it is a holiday set which I will be using lots for this holiday season. It has lots of sentiments with it,which I needed so much.

Purple weenie cards

It's Halloween time,once I was done my cards,I realized all the cards are done in purple. I'm not much into Halloween stuff,therefore I didnt have any stamps. So I borrowed the witch from Shannon and the rest of the stamps are some I got from Michael's. So those are my simple purple Halloween cards.

I cleaned my scrap room yesterday,I can actually see my desk and my work area now. I hadn't seen it in a few months,my husband came in and said Wow what happened in here!!! Smartalick!

I told him,hey I don't go in your shed,you don't come in my room if you don't like it! Lol!

It's already thursday,I can't believe it,where does time go!!!

Local Hallowe'en card swap.

I had to make 3 of the same card and will get 3 diff ones in return.

I didn't know what to come up with,so I started playing around and ended up with this. Not too bad if i say so myself. I borrowed the stamp from Shannon (Thanks btw!) cuz I don't have much for Hallowe'en. It is just a normal 5.5 x 4.25 card,I just made the top a little diff. And then I added the ribbon to keep it closed. I find Frank looks pretty good!!!

I slept like a baby last night,it felt so good to sleep 7 hours without waking up at all!!! I feel so good this morning,might even make a card,lol!!!

Happy tuesday everyone!!!

I finally started making some Christams cards,they are all pretty much the same except for the embellishments. I bought a sheet of snowmen dp at our LSS and didn't want to waste any. I still have some left so I'll use it later.

Yesterday I went to Shannon's place (Tyrymom) and we made cards,actually I made 9,2 sets of 3 for 2 diff local swaps I'm in. And some Halloween cards. So I'll have stuff to post all week,woohoo!!!

I'll be sleeping most of the day I think,when I scrap for a whole day,it just drains me right out!But it was worth every minute! Thanks Shannon,it was lots of fun...food was great,your singing wasn't as great though,lol! Until next time,Hugs to all of you,Diane

Cards for our french little people

These 3 lovely cards (well I think so anyways,lol) are for 2 of our nieces and a nephew in Quebec. We don't get to see them often because they live so far away,so now that they are settled back in school I thought I'd send them a little card just to say hello and that we are thinking of them.

Yet another Tilda card

You guys must be wondering why I'm making all these summer cards with fall almost here. Well I had rec'd a bunch of images and colored a few last weekend,so this week,I put them on cards.
I had made one of these before but had her standing up,when I realized Tilda is lying in the grass! So this time around she is positioned right,lol.

I had this fun colorful ribbon which I hadn't got to use yet,so I thought it matches the colors in my image perfectly. Don't know if you can see it,but I used a CB for the bg of the card.

It feels funny to be home for the weekend,cuz usually we're at the camp. I got some cleaning done yesterday,yuck! So today I get to play ALL DAY!!!! Hurray!!!!

Tilda picking flowers!

Even though the flower season is done for us up North,I made this card with Tilda picking flowers. I wish I had all the Tildas,I'm in love with them,they are so much fun to color. It reminds me of when I was a child,I used to color all the time,I still enjoy it!

I added some Stampendous butterfly stickers and some border stickers to add a golden touch.

My SIL has come home today!!!!!! Tasha (her daughter) just couldn't wait,they will have one happy weekend. Even though they won't be doing much,at least they will be cuddling together all weekend and Tasha will be her Mom's little nurse!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday with Sara Kay! I adore this image,reminds me of my nieces when they we're little. Now they are all grown up with kids of their own. Oh my,that makes me feel old...no it doesn't,I enjoy them all,and love being with them.

I left a space at the top because I don't know what sentiment I will put. I can use this card for many occasions,so I will put it in my stack and I'm sure I'll find the right person to give it to.

Update on my SIL & a card!

White is not good for a Halloween card! Live and learn,it was my first year making halloween cards. Let's just say i'm experiencing,lol. I think maybe yellow would of been better.

On a happier note...my SIL is suppose to come out of the hospital on friday!!!!! We are off to visit her tomorrow (wed),poor girl,she's been in the hospital since Aug 17th. Her daughter misses her so much!!! She only gets to see her on sat and sun.

For those of you that have been following this story,the tear on her heart has healed on it's own,and as for the blocked artery,doctors say that they will wait to see what happens with that.
Apparently it is a secondary one therefore she can live that way very comfortably so they say.

So again,please keep her in your prayers that she continue to heal and Thank You for all your thoughts and prayers from the beginning!!! Bless you all!!!

House Mouse-Hay Day

Gotta love those mice!!! Hey Shannon (Tyrymom),do you remember this stamp??? Shannon isn't a big fan of big stamps and last year she had ordered a stamp and rec'd the wrong one,so they told her to keep it and that they would send her the right one.

Well being the sweet niece that she is,she gave me that stamp,aren't I lucky!!!! So I decided to make a card with it,not the greatest,but it's ok.

Hallowe'en card & a short update on my SIL!!

I was suppose to make a Christmas card but I thought,Halloween comes first so here it is.
The 2 stamps come from Michael's in the $1.50 bin,the corn candies have yellow glitter which doesn't show well in the pic.

I look at some of your cards and think,boy oh boy my cards are so plain!!!!! But it is me,plain and simple I guess,lol.

So maybe I'll work on a Christmas card or cards,need lots of those and it'll be here before we know it. Have a super wed,I'm off to take a walk.

My hubby spoke to his sister this morning,she is doing so much better,she started walking today and was suppose to take a shower on her own,bet she can't wait for that!!!!

I believe in MIRACLES!!!!!

We came back on sunday from Sudbury where my SIL was and went to sleep at our camper. We just had to get some peace and quiet.

We found out over the week that they had to revive twice,she has recovered beautifully,she is still in the hospital for another week or two. The tear of the heart has healed on its own,but now they are watching her for a blood cloth. But it is amazing how wonderful she looks,she is talking like normal even though she was very confused when she first came too.

I'd like to Thank each and every one of you that sent beautiful comments,prayers and thought our way! I believe we ALL helped her!!!!

Tasha,her daughter,is starting school on wed on positive note,I'm so happy for her!

So now we must get back to our daily routine on a different outlook on life!
