Finally a non Christmas Card!!!

Well it sure feels good making a non Christmas card. As much as I love making them,it was too many for one month,I'll have to get ahead next year so I don't run into that problem again.

I don't know about you my friends,but I ate toooo much over the holidays!! I had promised myself that I wouldn't,but I didn't listen to my old self! So now I must pay the price,I'll have to work it off,it's ok,as long as I catch myself right away.

So any big plans to ring in the New Year??? I can't believe it,another year gone by! We are going to my oldest brother's place for dinner and then we're just going to ring in 2009 with our family. It should be fun,I'm always the first one to leave,it gets very tiring for me,but I can't pass it,I love being with my sister and 3 brothers.

Anyways,the card is an image I had rec'd,I think she is called Ebony,sorry if I'm wrong. I used a Fiskars Punch (Love my punches) and added some primas that my DH bought me today,(aren't they pretty) and used some pearl for her necklace and a bead in her hair and added some MS pearls at the top of the Inkadinkado sentiment.

Happy Birthday Sis!!!

Well,I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was very nice,quiet,but nice. We went for dinner at my nieces on the 25th,which I gained like 3 pounds,so obviously the food was more than delicious! But that's ok,it was well worth it and will come off fast I hope!

Today is my Sister's Birthday!!!! I won't say how old she is cause she doesn't like to get older,lol.

Still don't have enough Christmas cards,how 'bout u?

Well it's almost here,Christmas that is, and I'm still making cards. I'm sure i'm not the only one,lol.
My DH and I went for a walk in the mall on saturday,we've been done for a little while,but we still like to be in the hussle and bussle of the season. I miss working for that,as much as I was tired and exhausted when I got home,I loved the fast pace,the happy and not so happy customers.
It brought back alot of memories.
I'm making a couple more baking recipes on monday and next thing we know,it'll be all over with.

Well on with my Tilda card. The dp is from last year SU xmas paper,and used my MS punch and added a little angel brad at the top.

Joanne,I know you are now looking over us.Youcame into my life for a reason,but don't know why God came and take you.He must have plans for you I'm sure. Christmas Tilda

Here's Tilda ringing her Christmas bell. I think all Tilda images are so darn cute even though she doesn't have a mouth!

I colored her with my SU markers and put her on a pink bg then put it on a snowflake dp. Used a MS punch on the side and popped dot the bigger bell as the sentiment which I added the Peace word on. And added a SU ribbon.

Yesterday we went to our Godson's Christmas concert at school,he's 6 yrs old. He lives 45 mins away from here. When we peaked in his class to let him know we we're there,he was so happy,the smile on his face said it all!!!

They sang a french song that was so cute,and of course he was the best singer of the class!!! After the concert which finished at 2,his mom let us take him out of class and we took him to Tim Horton's for a Hot Chocolate,just us 3,he's such a great kid.He is the one in one of my previous posts with a cast on his arm. His cast is now off,he's ready to brake something else,lol.He is such a daredevil,aren't all boys though.

Well there's only a week to Christmas,I can't believe it! So I should get a bit of baking done.So I'm off to attempt,lol!

Rak and weight loss update!

Last night was weigh in night!!!! I LOST 2 POUNDS!!!! Which means I'm missing .4 of a pound to my weight goal. It was so funny,the weight recorder was saying,is there anything you can take off,go for a pee,lol! It's all good,I'll be extra good again this week,to take that .4 off. The group are all rooting for me because I would be the only member to attain my goal for 2008,but I must reach it before the end of the month. So I'm hoping and praying that I can eat sensibly and do my exercises as I did this week.

I'm also motivated because we are going to JAMAICA for 2 weeks on January 9th. So I need to lose a couple of more pounds below my goal even because I always gain when we go away. That's what holidays are for right? But I will dedicated to do the aqua exercises and take lots of walks on the beach to try to gain less this time. We'll see how that works out.

It is called "Snowman Soup",it contains,hot choc,mini marshmallows,a hershey kiss and a candy cane. And the other little treat is Christmas M&M's!!!! Yummy!!! This is too cute to open up,I think I'll just keep it,hopefully my DH won't get into it,lol!

Yesterday wasn't a good day for me,this sure cheered me up

Such a sad day

As I couldn't sleep this morning,I got up to check my emails,in shock learned that a fellow blogger JOANNE http://stamps4sanity.blogspot.com/ has passed away! As I am typing this in tears,I just can't believe it,I am so much in pain. Even though I never met Joanne,I visited her blog almost everyday as she did mine. She had health problems but I didn't know to what extent.
Joanne was so kind so thoughtful,she sent me an encouragement card for my weight loss a few weeks ago which I keep on top of my fridge.So Joanne you will keep encouraging me,cause it ain't leaving that spot. You will be forever in my heart,thoughts and prayers. And for your family and close friends,I hurt for you tremendously!
I will miss you forever JOANNE!

Dots challenge!

Well I don't do challenges much,but I was making this card,winter theme with the swirl CB background and then I added some blue and pink rhinestone dots for the snow (who said snow had to be white,lol) and bigger blue ones for embellishments.
Yesterday's challenge at Created by Courtney's blog was to do something with dots,so I thought,why not enter for the heck of it. It's all fun right! So here is my dot version!!!

In need of prayers!

For those of you who know my niece Shannon,Tyrymom stamps alot,well her fiance lost one of his cousin yesterday. He died of a massive heart attack at the age of 37. I'm sure she needs our love right now. It is so hard when something like this comes unexpectedly! Especially at such a young age.

So Shannon,I will keep you and Mark in my prayers. I will also pray for Anna,I will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers as well.

Silver Snowman and weight loss update!

Here's a Silver Snowman. One of my peeps at Tops loves snowmen and loves hand made cards.
So I thought I'd make her a Christmas card,she will appreciate it I'm sure.
I used the Inkadinkado stamp and the sentiment is from Flourishes set. I heat embossed with silver powder and added a couple of layers and some snowflakes brads.

I went to my Tops weigh in last night......... ONE MORE POUND DOWN!!!!!!! I am so happy with it,for some people 1 pound is nothing but for me trying to lose these last pounds is soooo hard.
So one pound at a time is better than nothing,so I'll take it!!!! So have a wonderful Wednesday,stay warm,they're calling for -25 celsius,so I'm staying home hoping to make a beautiful xmas card for my DH. If I get it done I'll post it tomorrow!!!!

A shopping she will go!!!

I'm bad,but I forget what this Bella is called and I fon't feel like checking on the site. But I'm sure my Hubby's God daughter will love it,don't you agree?
I even used the punched snowflakes and added them on the white CB background.
She's 15 and loves to shop,and she lives 1,000 miles away. So we rarely see her,so we send her some money for her to go shop,it's totally her!

Here's Tilda,an image I rec'd from Wish Rak. I love her in pink,and will put a sentiment when need be.This will be one of those cards to have on hand.Pretty simple and quick,just what i need right now.

Today was a short day for me,with having had a bad night sleep again,I got up at almost noon. I hate that cause then your day is all messed up,urghhhhhh! Then we went to visit my brother and sis-in-law.Then we came home and dear hubby made dinner while I took our tiny little tree out and some decorations.

I'm just not in the mood,but Al really wanted some kind of signs that Christmas is just around the corner,gee,it's coming fast!!! So a few on my favorite men came out (SNOWMEN) and our little optical tree and decorated here and there. He's happy with that,so it's all good!!

My great nephews!!

Here are my nieces 2 boys,aren't they cute!!

Gavin is the one showing off his cast,he's our Godson. He broke his arm jumping off his deck,little dare devil!!

And then there's Dawson,he just finished eating some marshmallow candies we brought them. I just had to take a picture of his dirty little face,lol!

So we took them out for lunch and my hubby had brought his gas powered remote control buggy to show Gavin. He just loved it,could'nt control it though with his arm in the cast. He was just amazed at how fast it was going,boys will be boys!!

It was a nice day,we don't get to see them too often,so we really enjoyed our day! Chantal (their mom) didn't want me to take a picture of her,little bugger. So now we probably won't see them til xmas. Which isn't that far away.

A lady asked me if I would make her 6 Christmas cards to give to special people in her life. I was surprised,if she would only see all the talent that you girls have...anyways,so I made a couple and had some already made that I could spare a few.
So I hope she likes them.

I can't believe it's friday again!!!! I don't know how I did everything when I was working.
I no longer work,and still don't have time to do what I want to do.

Well friends,not much to post today.
But I did go to my TOPS meeting last night and...
I LOST ONE MORE POUND!!!!! I'm so proud of myself!

Pretty boring pic huh??? I'm off to the post office today to mail out some of my Christmas cards!
Don't want to send them all in one shot,It'll put a dent in my wallet,lol!

And I did my workout this am (which I love) and now I'm off for coffee with my DH and this afternoon I have a coffee date with one of my girlfriends.

More Christmas cards,workout dvd and a challenge card!

Here is a close up of one of the cards.You can't see it,but I also put glitter over the sentiment,it looks really sharp.

Six more Christmas cards done,woohoo! Sorry for the bad pic but I wanted to show all 6 of them.I used the Sidedick sayings from SU,MS punch again (I love her punches) and added some pointsetta primas.

For you that know that I'm trying to get to my goal weight,my favoritereality show is THE BIGGEST LOSER.

I was reading Lauren Meder's blog one day and she was saying that she had gotten some of these DVD's at target and that they we're really good. Well since I love the show,why not try them right,so I ordered the first 2 of the series and they came in yesterday.

So as soon as I got home,I had to try the first workout...my goodness,it sure is a real workout when all I am used to do as exercise is a bit of walking!!! So I'll be doing Workout #1 every second day for a month and work myself to the next episodes as I go along.

I feel like a pretzel this morning but that's ok,I'm sure I'll see results in the future.

Denise over at Stamping with Denise is having a Black Friday challenge. All you need to do is a project on any kind with BLACK,pretty easy huh!
So here is my entry,it doesn't look black in the pic,but there's a lot of black IRL,honest there is,lol!

Season's Greetings with dots...

I was checking my stack of Christmas cards tonight when I realized,gee i gotta get cracking on making some cards. So I made 6 of these,the one on the far left isn't colored yet,I'm pooped,lol.
I just wanted to take the pic so I could post this for you to see them today,so here they are,and I've gone tons of cards to make yet!
I've met some wonderful ladies through blog land,and I hope I don't forget anyone.
I'll have to stop posting them though,cuz you'll all see them and that's no fun,lol.

Heeeeeere's Emmy Again!!!

I just can't get enough of this little cutie!! I have a couple of new stamps of her so you'll be seeing more of her. Here,I just colored her with the SU markers and used the CB at the bottom and used my MS punch on the dp at the top and a doubled stitched ribbon...ta da!!!

Well we didn't go for our walk yesterday (sad face). We had some action at about 1:10 AM!!!
I bought the David Foster cd/dvd for my DH,he just loves all the guests that are on there. So I thought let's watch the Dvd,well 2 hours later,we went to bed.We we're talking and then I told him,we have to stop yapping,it's 12:30 AM!

So anyways,I'm a very light sleeper and I sleep on my side. I thought I heard something,so I lift my head to listen...then my hubby says what's wrong? I say:I think I heard someone by the bedroom window outside,he says,no no,you're probably hearing the apt. upstairs.Go back to bed.
So I lay back down,then I said,I'm not crazy I hear voices outside,go check!!!!! He gets up,peeks through the blind and bangs on the window,which I thought he had broken from hitting it so hard. And said really bad words that I can't post (lol!) He says there's 2 guys trying to steal my 4 wheeler,call the cops!!!!
So I call the cops and he goes outside with his brother which also lives in the same building as us.
But the thieves we're gone of course. In the meantime...like half an hour later,the cops show up.
So Al explains the whole story...they brought in a dog to see if he could lead them to the culprits,but no luck.
Isn't that terrible!!!! Needless to say,we didn't sleep at all,I fell asleep around 6 til 10. You are never safe now a days,it is so scarry! I just hope they won't be back!

It is now 8:30 pm,I am off to bed and hope our night will be a better one!

Another weekend almost done!

I had time to make a couple of cards friday night while DH was away,I was all alone,I love it,peace and quiet.

This stamp is one of my new ones from Cuddly Bubble,her
name is Emmy,isn't she cute!!! I added some liquid pearl at the top & bottom of the ribbon,and of course I had to mess up the top,so I fixed it with a prima...urgghhhh don't you just hate that when you're happy with the card and when I thought it was dry, I had to mess it up.

Oh well,I like how she turned out anyways!

The sun is shining as I am writing this post (sat.) and hope we will be getting the same weather tomorrow. I would love to take a walk in this nature trail we found. It's so peaceful and beautiful out there. So for now my friends,have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Deer Santa!

Deer Santa!!! Aren't they cute,it's a Studio G stamp that I got last year and forgot I had it.So I just had to use it at least once,I used my snowflake CB and sponged it with red,used a MS punch,added a candy cane ribbon and makes a cute little quick card.

Well today,Hubby and I went to do our good deed for the season. Every year they have a tree at Walmart for kids in needy families,they put the child's name,age and some wishes.

So I always pick a girl,and DH picks a boy.The girl was 12 yrs old and all she had on her list was JEANS. So I bought 3 pairs,hope she'll like them. And for the boy,he was 5,and he wanted Hot Wheels cars and trucks. So hubby bought him a little track with 5 cars and an additional 10 cars and trucks,so I'm sure he'll be jumping with joy. We feel so great doing that,we've never had any children,so doing this is very rewarding for us!!!

It's the little things...

This sentiment is SO TRUE!!! It's the little things that make life BIG!!!!

I've been thinking alot lately,feeling sorry for myself,blah blah blah! And you know what,I came to the conclusion that I am one of the luckiest person on eart! OK,I'm not the healthiest chick but there are people way worse than me.

I've got the perfect hubby that is always there for me,(even sometimes too much there,lol).He is there through thick and thin and am so Thankful to have him in my life.

I've got the best siblings one can have which gave me wonderful nieces and nephews and they gave me great nephews and great nieces. So what am I complaining about and have to feel sorry!

So today,I've got to change that attitude cause when I really feel down and low,I have ALL OF YOU to visit and read the comments you leave me. Gee,I'm such a lucky person!!! So with that said,IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE LIFE BIG!!!!!

Christmas glitter!

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in awhile,just not up to it unfortunately. And I haven't done anything to post either,so

that doesn't help.

I tried inking the CB folder which wasn't very successful,and added alot of stickles which you can't see much with the bad photographer (would that be me,lol). I put the sentiment on a silver paper which you can't see either.

Well at least I posted,maybe my next card will be better!

As for my weight loss last tuesday,I was down .6 of a pound.

I guess it's better than staying the same or gaining. These last pounds are soooo hard to get rid of!!! But with xmas and a vacation coming up in January,it motivates me to keep going!!!

A Rak and a card

This is a RAK from Joanne at stamps4sanity. Isn't she sweet,Joanne and the card of course! She sent Congratulating me with my weight loss success! Isn't she a sweetheart! Thanks Joanne,it's gorgeous,I love her,I'll stick it on my fridge for insentive for these last pounds. I go for my weigh in tonight but I don't think I've lost anything (sad face)!

Oh it's cold and miserable outside!!! I had colored this WOJ image a couple of days ago with intention of making a card,but it took longer than usual. I just don't have any pep in this old body of mine,lol.

I wish I owned all the WOJ's stamps,I love 'em all!

Isn't this Cardinal a beautiful image! I've seen some gorgeous card with him and think he makes such a pretty Christmas card. Got some Poinsetta Primas at M's,it doesn't show on the pic,but they have glitter on them,they are beautiful!

Well,I couldn't sleep at 4:00 am,had been tossing and turning for about an hour,so I thought I'll go check some emails and some blogs.

Caught up in?????

I made a quick card with this cute Fluffles image I rec'd,sorry about the pic,it's not the best.
I bought these lightbulbs at the dollar store and ran them through hemp,once again using the MS punch at the bottom and the rest is easy peasy.

I haven't been blogging much,just don't know where the time has gone. I'm trying to walk every day,especially lately,the
weather has been amazing! So I'm taking advantage of it,usually by now we have snow,and today is 18 celsius!!!
Unbelievable! I'm sure we'll pay for it one way or another,lol.

Hope to have some time to stamp soon,I need to make b'day ,thank you,and diff kinds of cards. Just need to get on the ball!!

Season's Greetings in PINK!

For this card,I used my CB tree on silver paper and added some pewter liquid pearls on the dots.
Heat embossed the sentiment in silver and added a pink ribbon at the top.
Pretty simple but I kinda like it.

These are for a local Christmas swap I am in,so I hope the recipients will enjoy them!

A simple card with a punch!

Hey my dear friends,

haven't posted in a couple of days. Same old thing,hard time with my sleeping,anyways I won't bore you with that today.

I made this card using one of Martha Stewart punches,one of my favs.

And I heat embossed in gold the sentiment in the front of the card and inside of the card as well.

I love the gold Heat Embossing powder for Xmas,it looks so Christmasy!!!

This weeend I want to work on making Xmas tags to donate to a penny sale that our Tops group is having in mid november. I thought of using my scraps and it'll be fun!

I lost another pound this week which puts me 6.8 pounds to my goal!!!! It sure is hard to get those last pounds off,anybody have good tips ????
