Early Valentine Gift and a Gorjuss Girl Card

My DH made me an early Valentine gift!! He knows I'm addicted to punches,we we're at Michael's getting something for someone. And he had been writing down some punches that I've wanted and had to get them right away. He says,they're 30% off this week and what if the tx team calls and we have to go....I really wanted the Big Heart one to match my border punch.
So needless to say I was overjoyed!!! He's so good to me,always making me happy! So I've made 2 cards yesterday using these new toys. And I love him and new punches.


I finally made a Gorjuss Girl card which I love!!! Thanks to Celine from Passionement Cartes I've got lots of images of these cuties. By the way they are celebrating with candy you should go and check it out! They are two wonderful sisters with great talent!

So on with the card,I've used the Rich Razzleberry cs and the dp from SU and the orangie paper is from my scraps. I popped up two butterflies from MS punch and the border punch is also from MS and added some purple bling and some gold stickles to the middle of the flower. The sentiment is from Circle of Friends also from SU.

Off to make more cards,hehe!

Wish Big Henry!

I've entered Henry in the WOJ sketh challenge.
I love Henry the mouse,he looks sooo happy!
So I thought it would be a perfect b'day for a happy fellow Tops member.

I used all SU cs and dp,added some Cotton Candy on the cupcake icing,used a my new punch which my DH bought me today and some primas with light blue pearls.

Now I have to get busy with more b'day cards as I need lots for this month. If my liver would give me a break,I would feel better and could play more. Today seems like a pretty good day,so I'm going to try my best!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge

I needed a B'day card for today and saw a Colour Challenge on Kaboodle Doodles blog. The colours are Pink,Lemon,Green & Plum.
I made an easel card,I used Perfect Plum ink for the cake and sentiment,the green I used is kinda flashy,but it's a B'day card,it's suppose to be flashy and happy right. I used 2 diff MS border punches and added a big green prima with a button brad to fit in the flower. I also added some soft pink pearls and some plum bling.

More Valentine Cards

Hey Pat,here are some V Cards coming to you for your great cause! I had 5 packaged up ready to go and then when I saw Chris' post,I had to make 5 more with her sketch. They are the ones in the middle.
So I'm off to the post office this afternoon so you'll have them in plenty of time for Valentine.

I love you Beary Much

Here's an old stamp I had bought at the dollar store a couple of yrs ago which I haven't used too often.

I think I will send it to my niece and her boys for Valentine day,it's kinda girlie but the boys love teddy bears so I'm sure they will find it cute!

No stamping for me today,I'll be taking it easy and lazy! Maybe I'll go for a walk depending on the weather.

Steal of a deal!

I got a really super duper deal at Michael's today.

They had all their xmas stock at 90% off and then they had an additional 25% off the whole purchase.

So I got 23 rolls of xmas ribbons for next season.
And 4 Valentine stamps in the $1.50 bin.
For a grand total of $11.48...isn't that a great bargoon!!!!

Everything old is new again challenge

Challenge #2 at EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN was to make a card or project with no pattern paper!

The only background stamp I have is an old High Hopes,so works perfect,and the little bee is from SU Cute as a bug and so is the sentiment.
So I colored the mini bees with yellow and added some gold stickles to the middle bee,added a stitched silk ribbon ,sponged some summer sun ink and ta-da, EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN!

Simon Says Challenge-Punches

Happy Friday everyone! Gee the week went by quick didn't it!

Today's card could be a Valentine Card or just a card to show someone I care,so I didn't put a sentiment on it.

I used a WOJ stamp Melinda blowing kisses and the Heart is from an acc set at WOJ. So I coloured both and cut them out to pop them up. Once again I used some of my pink scraps mounted on brown cardstock,the border punch is MS and I even used the punched hearts form the bpunch and added them on the top right of my card. And lastly,added some pink pearls and SU pink ribbon.

I also get to join 2 challenges with it.

At SIMON SAYS , they're challenge is to use punches,so in my card I used 2 diff punches.

There was another challenge to use Pink & Brown and now I don't remember where it was.So I guess I won't enter it in that challenge,But if I do find it again,I'll have to enter the challenge.

More challenges

Here's Angel Anya! I just adore this image.

This card will be for 2 challenges and going out to a fellow Tops member,she was the best loser this week with a big loss and was so happy about it.

So what's that saying killing 3 birds with 1 stone!

The first challenge is for The Anyone for Anya Challenge which was to use of course an Anya image with black & white and 1 other color (except for hair & face).

So I used SU Bermuda Bay,I used 2 nesties,added some white sparkles on her wings and in her hair and halo. I added some black pearls for embellies and the prima.

The second challenge was for La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #22-Fancy Folds card,you needed to make a diff fold card.Wish I had La-La Land stamps,not yet,but I'm working on it. Mine isn't extra special,I used the trifold card,but hey,I entered another challenge which is a goal of mine. So if you'd like to play,head on over these 2 wonderful blogs for these great challenges.

And so far I've doing pretty good with the challenges

This is the inside,I had a scalloped nestie out of this scrap that I used for the inside which I can write my message inside. I'm using some scraps and sooo proud of it!

Hugs & Kisses

Today's card is for a lovely lady at Tops. Of course it's tuesday (my Tops meeting) I always have a card or two to bring to my pals.
This lady is in her late 80's and everyone just adores her,always hugging and smiling,that is our THELMA!
Last week,she brought me some glitter glue which she will no longer use and thought of me instead of throwing them away.
So I thought this card was perfect for her!

The stamp is Cuddly Bubbly,they have the cutest stamps and she has new ones just coming out,Little Miss Daisy,and has a contest to win 3 of them.
So on with my card,I colored them with my SU markers (I don't own the copics,can you believe that,lol)and used a MS border punch and with the remainder of cs made some flowers with a punch. The sentiment is from Michael's and I used my nesties oh,and the branch punch,I colored with my marker and punched them out so I got the same color as Teddy's hat.

I liked how it turned out and I'm sure Thelma will be tickled pink!! Which is one of her fav colors!

Mojo Monday Challenge

Hi folks,hope you all had a wonderful weeken! Mine was quiet as usual. My darn liver was inflammed so I didn't do much. Hope the new one comes in soon,lol.

So this is a card that is out of my element. But I was checking the Mojo Monday Challenge at Poetic Artistry,Verve Stamps and I really liked this sketch.

I have been doing different challenges lately and I really enjoy it. So onto the card,The stamps I used are both from the Serenity Set from Verve Stamps and the papers are all from my scraps which is another goal I have (to use some,lol) and the punch is MS.

So if you want to play along head on over there,I'm sure Julee would be happy to see participate!

2 Challenges in 1

This cute Magnolia card is a Thank You card I made. I need to make a few more Thank You cards for when I need them, I never have them and I like those kinda cards to be special!

So with this one,I saw that I could enter it for 2 challenges one is for STAMP SOMETHING blog. It was to make a blue and white card,that's pretty easy right.

And the other challenge is over at JUST MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE blog. It was to make a Thank You card, so here is my take on the challenge.

I made another easel card,(I love them so much) the rhinestones are blue (even though they don't look like blue) and I used Bashful Blue cs and dp from SU and the MS butterfly punches (2 diff ones) added stickles on them and the ribbon is from Michael's. Oh and the Thank You sentiment is also SU Short & Sweet set.

A Love card for my DH

Well I just had to case Kristine's card cause I loved it soooo much.
So I made my DH's Valentine card.The sentiment is from SU and I added the little white hearts on the striped dp. I also put 2 hearts brad top and bottom corners.

I thought it looks pretty good for a male card,what do you think?

This is the inside of the card. I used the dollar stamp from Michael's and added some punched hearts on the spiral along with xoxoxo.

I didn't put adhesive on the note part so I can write my DH a sweet note which I didn't want you to see,lol!

I hope to play again this weekend,I want to make more easel cards,I love 'em!

There's a new challenge...

Allison from Stampin When You Can has started a great challenge. It's called Everything Old is New Again. You must dust off any old stamp or set and make something with it.
Well that is one challenge I think I will try to do weekly,cause I have alot of stamps that I seem to neglect. Poor them!!!



Here is my card for the challenge. I used SU Both Way Blossoms,I think when I bought it,I might of used it once. I popped up the middle tulip and the lilac butterfly over the purple butterfly. The rest is pretty much all layering,oh and I used my paper piercing tool which I haven't used also.

So I'm off to play...

Easel cards

Hi there everyone!

I just had to make one of these after seeing them on so many blogs. I love the fold!
The Valentine one was REALLY EASY,no stamping,I just used some DP which I had rec'd in a blog I won. You can't tell from the pic,but the red hearts and words are really shiny,super nice.
I used a heart brad to hold the card.

The other card is from the SU set called Butterly of Happiness,The sentiment says "Spread your love everywhere you go". I used Blue Bayou cs and ink. I popped up the tiny butterfly at the bottom and there is a blue prima in the middle of the 2 punched flowers. I also added some pearls.

I really enjoyed making these,I like different folds and should check out more of them.

A card to Celebrate...

Here is one of the cards I made for a fellow Tops pal. Last week she was the best loser of the week and it was also her 15 consecutive loss. She has loss weight every week since joining the group!
She is an inspiration to us all!

Every,I make a card for the best loser,so I'm running out of ideas for her,cause she has had a few of them,lol. She says she has them all on top of her tv unit for her to look at.

As for me,I had reached my goal on May 5/09 and am still below my goal. I had a little struggle in December but who hasnt right.
I rec'd a nice charm for a 6 weeks below goal! I was so happy,it is a new incentive they have started for those who are KOPS (keeping off pounds sensibly).

It's only -5 out there today,so I'm going to take a walk and enjoy the fresh air! I haven't walked in awhile,been lazy and finding every excuse in the book,so no more excuses!!!

Quick B'day card for my stash

Quick B'day card,the paper is a 6x6 which I used a border punch and had the cute hedgie image and added some primas layered on a punched flower and added some buttons.
I have to start making much more b'day cards cause one of my goals this year is to send all my family members a card this year,that is counting bros & sis,nephews & nieces and great nephew & nieces.Wish me luck!!!!

I had fun today,made 3 cards!!! I'll post the other 2 later this week. They we're both for my fellow TOPS friends which are close to achieving some goals.

Another great challenge at KLSNS

Pink,black and neutral was the challenge for this week at KLSNS . I thought I'd make a Valentine card with it.

Used the MS border punch and the corner punch is an old one from Creative Memories. I added some bling and some doodling and sponging and I like how it turned out.

Jimmy's card

Ta-da!!!!! Here's Jimmy's masterpiece! He just wanted to put everything on this card. His aunt was very happy with it!

He used the CB on his ovals,glitter on Happy,pearls and primas and corner embellies.He was so proud of it and I was proud of him too. Didn't know little boys enjoyed card making like that. We had fun!!

So I'm off to make a couple of cards myself.

Kids hard at work

I had 2 visitors yesterday. My niece Tasha from here in Timmins and her cousin our nephew Jimmy all the way from Quebec.

Jimmy was visiting the family with his mom,it was his first time in Timmins. He enjoys making cards,so here they are both hard at work in my scraproom. He came back today to make a B'day card for his aunt which we'll be celebrating tonight at a family restaurant.

I will take a pic of his master piece and post it tomorrow. It was so much fun,he wanted to incorporate everthing on his card...stamps,buttons,primas,glitter...he really enjoyed it!

Gee I'm on a roll with these challenges,I can't believe it myself,lol.

I added some stickles to her wings and hair but with my bad camera skills,you can't really see it.
And how do you like her little piggy tail pearls,cute huh!!

For the CORROSIVE CREATIONS CHALLENGE , it was to use 2 of your favorite things. I Love primas and pearls,so those are my 2 favorite things on this card.


Well,it's already the 3rd day in January,so I think my next card will be a Valentine Day card. It will be here before we know it and I want to make one for my DH.

Thinking of you

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Hope you all had a fun and safe New Years Eve!
We had a pretty quiet one which was ok by me.

Today,we will be going to the Olympic Torch Ceremony which is passing through town. Shania Twain will be holding and lighting the Torch! It is something I will never have a chance to see again in my lifetime so even though it is -32 C out there,we will get dressed up in our snow suits and the whole nine yards and head out in the cold!!

Now onto the card,she is from Inky Impressions I believe,it is a WR I rec'd and just had to color her right away! I used the SU Thinking of You sentiment and some nesties and the MS butterfly border punch. Alson added some bling on the border.
